Our Policy
Eagle Edition Online Policy:
The Eagle Online is a companion to the Episcopal School of Dallas’ print publication the Eagle Edition. The purpose of both publications is to inform and entertain our readers on subjects and events that may affect them. Writers and editors consent to abide by the Episcopal School of Dallas Honor Code and the Journalism Code of Ethics. This is an academic publication directed toward and meant for the students. No libel, profanity, indecency, or invitation of privacy is allowed. Without disrupting school, the Eagle Online intends to give the audience an unlimited variety of stories, opinions, polls, and events.
Affiliations:
The Eagle Edition has been a member of the Quill and Scrool Society for 26 years, the Columbia National Press Association, and the National Scholastic Press Association. The Eagle Edition paper has earned a Quill and Scroll International First Place Award, one Gold and three Silver Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, and a Pacemaker Award from The National Scholastic Press Association.
Letter/Column Policy:
The Eagle Edition and the Eagle Online encourage letters and or columns given to us to publish which address concerns of the ESD community or an article or issue discussed in the paper or website. The editorial board reserves the right to edit letters and or columns. Letters may be sent to editors@esdeagleedition.com.
